SUISUN VALLEY
We craft our Suisun Valley Sauvignon Blanc from grapes grown in the Lambert vineyard, a small, meticulously maintained family vineyard just a stone throw from the Napa/Suisun line. This location is more protected from the influence of the Pacific Ocean and offers a slightly warmer climate that brings out the tropical notes. After foot stomping the grapes upon arrival at the winery, we let it cold soak for several days before pressing and then barrel fermented the wine in neutral French barrels.
TASTING NOTES
On the nose there are hints of honeysuckle, lemon blossoms and a floral quality. The wine has some influence from Bordeaux by fermenting in French barrels, although totally neutral barrels, to give this release a great texture that makes it lively from the start. The palate is creamy with flavors of citrus, honeysuckle & tropical flavors finishing dry with a long lingering finish.
